July 31, 2018

Yall,

Well not too much happened this week so Ill be brief. Last P-day, I got a haircut and we got to go to the Air and Space Museum. It was actually way cool. I really enjoyed it.

This week this week has gone by really fast. It makes me happy to be working so hard in this area. This week, we have found several people to teach, and are working hard to teach them. I've learned so much in this new area about myself, about my faith, and about my Savior.

This week, we went on exchanges with the AP s. I was with Elder Mumm. He is like giant Viking from Idaho. I learned a lot on that exchange, and I learned how I can improve myself. I think I have really seen some blessings as I have been able to focus and obey the little things that the Lord has asked me to do.

Today, we are going to a Padres baseball game. I'm pretty excited even though the Padres suck. I have to go now thank you all so much for your prayers and love!

Love yall

July 24, 2018

Yall,

Hello everyone. I'm so sorry that I haven't been writing, but these last couple weeks have been really busy. Apparently when people say that you're now a ZL all it means is you get way more phone calls and more meetings which equals less time in your area. This is really sad.
Elder Parkinson and I have been doing a lot of really good work together. We work together well and we teach together well. Elder vaca was in our companionship but last week he got moved to a completely different area of the mission. That's why I was not able to write an email last week.
Elder Parkinson and I have had some really cool experiences together with a lot of different people this week. We have had several meetings with the stake president and mission president because we are both white washing to this only your area. So far we have been doing a great job...Or at least that's what President Stubs told us. We are so grateful for the opportunity to serve together and we know the Lord had us put together because we are already good friends. Honestly these last two weeks have really flown by because of how hard we've been working and because we have had so many meetings and teaching appointments.
If there's anything that we have learned together this far that really has affected me, it's been how much God loves us all. I think it's really hard to comprehend how much God loves us even though we can see the effects of his love all around us. In my life I know it's the people that I care about. All of you I care about and a lot of people out here on my mission I really care about. I love my family. I love my companions. And I love Jesus Christ. They're a lot of reasons for people to come out on a mission but I think reasons change from why you came out to why you've stayed out I came out cuz I knew I need to serve the Lord. I've stayed out because I love people and I love Jesus Christ. I live in serving I found myself caring less about myself and more about of the people. I think that this is an amazing blessing from sure.
Every night in my prayers I thank the Lord that I have this opportunity and chance to be here. Every once awhile God gives us blessings that sometimes we don't deserve to be very honest with all of you, I think my companion is one of them. I have had a rough go with some of my companions in the past, and this is affected our work. In our companionship, we don't focus on ourselves, we focus on literally everyone else around us. With our companionship, the Spirit of the Lord directs our work.
I've had some great priesthood holder examples in my life and I've wanted to become a lil bit like all of them and some of my companions I have added to that list. I'm grateful for all of these men and I'm grateful for the love that I've learned how to show through a lot of the women of my life.
Anyway, now I'm kind of rambling and I didn't have that much time to begin with. I love you all and I hope you all have an amazing week I hope that you guys all get to see my blog that my sister puts up every week. I don't really send pictures in my emails cuz they're up there. Anyway I have to go now, and I want to make sure you all know that God loves you and I love you thank you so much!

July 10, 2018

Yall,

This week was very long and very good.
Wednesday was the 4th of July. We taught some lessons and in the night we got together with our district and had a little party thing. We watched some fireworks on a roof. We also played poker and ate hot dogs. It was a pretty good night.

Thursday we got to go to the temple with some recent converts! We went with; Brenda, gabby, Alan, jorge, and Abraham. Elder Dudley, Elder Mumm, Elder Sharp, Elder Kunzler and Elder Olsen were all also there. It was a pretty good day! After we finished, we had lunch at Hodad's (legendary burger place). So so good!

Friday we had a baptism! Victor Covarrubias was baptized. He is the son of Brenda Covarrubias (recent convert). He asked me to baptize him. He was so excited and nervous. It was such an amazing experience. I was so blessed to be there and to participate in that!

Saturday we took part in a youth thing. It was a fireside thing and it was drama filled but it was also very fun.

Sunday night Elder Mumm got a call to go be the new AP. So he left us on Munday morning.

Monday we (Elder Sharp, Elder Dudley, and I) dropped off Elder Mumm at the mission office and attended 3 district meeting as we opened the transfer document.

My area was closed and I was moved to a different area in the same ward. They moved me from a District Leader on a Bike to a Zone Leader in a Car. This transfer will be fun because I am in a trio with Elder Parkinson and Elder Vaca. None of us have been Zone Leaders so we all see how this goes.

Love you all! 🐢

I really don't have a lot to say today. This morning I got to go the temple!! It was super amazing!! I love learning about my Father in Heaven.
We went to lunch and then to Sunset cliffs to do some hikes it was way cool.
 I love all of you!!
