Yall,

This week is the last week of my companions mission. He is going home a week from today. That's kinda crazy and he is preparing to change his whole life again. He is excited. I'm pretty excited for him. This last week, we got to go to the temple for another missionary who is also going home. That was so amazing! I was made to play basketball in my dress clothes twice this week and now I have like 6 blisters that popped from playing soccer the night after haha. I love having a walking area. San Ysidro is such a great place to work. I love getting the opportunity to learn more about myself and this life.

This week we didn't get a lot of time in our area which was pretty sad. Not a while lot happened this week. I am nervous for transfers because they might close my area. We will find out in a week. In this life, I strongly believe that what we truly want and desire, we will get. If we truly want it, we all do what we need to in able to receive it.

This week I have taken pause to think about what my actions say that I want. Doing this has helped me use my time effectively to take into consideration what are my priorities and what they should be. I would invite all of you to do the same.

Love,
Elder Stephen

Yall,

First of all, to all the mothers here, HAPPY MOTHERS DAY! I had a pretty good week. I am enjoying my mission. His week I got to Skype home and see my family. That was so wonderful and I am ready for another 6 months. I have learned a lot about service, love, and patience. Elder Glorius and I have been trying to find people. We have been focusing on teaching people about the Book of Mormon this week. I have come to love that book so much more. I don't really have a lot to say this week. I love yall so much

Love

Yall,

We started off the week, with interviews with President Stubbs. What a great man! I love being spiritually raised up by him in our meetings.
That was on Wednesday. So last week, our zone has been doing a competition between the districts. The first week (last week) we were counting how many Restoration pamphlets with our names and numbers we could hand out. This week we are counting how many copies of the Book of Mormon we can hand out with our testimony and phone number we can hand out. The district that I am in killed the other two districts by like 40 or 50 pamphlets. The winners of all three events gets a pizza party and the second place gets ice cream paid for by the third district. We arnt going to lose.
This week, I have gotten a lot better at not being afraid to just talk to people. So that's good. Last Saturday all the missionaries in our zone volunteered with the Red Cross. We were assigned parts of my area and we went around installing smoke alarms for free in anyone's house. That was super fun! We got so many referrals to come back and visit people as missionaries! We met some pretty cool people. I feel like I'm growing a lot out here. In a bad way.
This week we have had like 4 nights where we ate dinner twice in two places. But on the good side, I am also growing spiritually and that's good. Elder Bednar once said; "In many of the uncertainties and challenges we encounter in our lives, God requires us to do our best, to act and not be acted upon (see 2 Nephi 2:26), and to trust in Him. We may not see angels, hear heavenly voices, or receive overwhelming spiritual impressions. We frequently may press forward hoping and praying—but without absolute assurance—that we are acting in accordance with God’s will. But as we honor our covenants and keep the commandments, as we strive ever more consistently to do good and to become better, we can walk with the confidence that God will guide our steps. " I know that sometimes it is hard to press on, but I also know that God will bless us and strengthen us as we do so.

Love yall!
Elder Stephen
