Yall,

I'm not sure that any week can be a a bad one when God is on your side haha. I was actually super sick this whole week. I couldn't leave the bed for most of the week. The Lord used that tie to teach me some important things. I learned what the direction we need to go to better help this branch up here in Ramona. It was quite amazing to be able to make that time useful.

We also went on exchanges this week and I got to eat at the house of the CEO of Hooters. He is a member of the Church who lives up here. He is a super cool guy. We got to eat with him because he invited some of his friends to come over. Everyone should be active in missionary work. It's easy to help out and it's so necessary!

Elder Lewis and I are still doing great. We are learning every day. He is actually learning Spanish very well. This week, we decided that we would speak more Spanish. He is at that point where I can help push him a little bit further with His Spanish. I felt pretty good this week because a member down here told me that when I speak Spanish, I should fluent and like a native speaker (even though we all know I don't look like it)

God lives and His Son does too! They love you all so much! I invite you all to find a simple way to share this love just a little bit more this more.

Yall,

What a great week! This week we spend a lot of time serving! Last Saturday, we cleaned the church, then we helped this member who is moving into a house he has to fix up. He asked us to come help prepare the house. We were able to help him decide what to do and we helped to tear our a big part of a wall. I was grateful for the experiences that I have had helping my dad in our house. I knew what I was doing and it was a lot of fun. Later that day, We helped out another family clean out a big part of their yard out. It was a lot of work, but it was good and we were able to help out some great people.

Also I have a companion that will consistantly run with me now! Elder Lewis and I have been running two or three times a week. It's been amazing! We also saw a doctor for my ankle. It got messed up for a while, but now it's all good. Just an agrevated sprain.

We have still been working hard on becoming better and teaching repentance. What a great calling I have! This week I learned a lot about how God is truly all knowing, He knows what  and who we need to grow. I have been in awe at how well He has set me up with who and what I need in this time of my life. All has been prepared and He does guide me. I know this is also true for each and every one of you! God loves you so much to guide you and orchestrate your life. I invite you all to more fully let God guide you daily. You will be strengthened and feel His love!

Thank you for all your love and support!

Love yall,
Elder Stephen

Yall,

Well this week has been another great one! I love being here on a mission. I get to help everyone in Ramona come closer to their Savior. It's still sometimes amazing to think about it. This week we got to answer some interview questions about the church for a school project of one of the youth in our area. It is super cool that she chose to talk about our church and our basic beliefs as her passion project in English class. We also got to visit some members way out in the middle of nowhere and see some beautiful sights in our are on our bikes. We are super excited to meet with some new people we are teaching later this week. They all have so much potential and love the Spirit that they feel when we discuss the gospel. What a blessing it is to be on my mission. The time seems to be flying by that's for sure. I left my house on Oct 31 2017 and here I am. I will be released in Feb 2020. That's a big blessing. Elder Lewis and I have been learning a lot together and that has been amazing. I love being with him a lot.

Love yall,
Elder Stephen

Hey Yall,

I hope that this week was good for all of you! I loved this week. We had some great experiences this week! God guides this work and definitely His servants. Elder Lewis and I have been working really hard, and searching for people who the Lord wants us to find. We also went on exchanges this week. I stayed in this area and got to have Elder Miller, an English Elder, come with me on our bikes. It was a super great day. The Lord guided us and blessed us in finding people and growing a little closer.

Today is transfer day. Elder Lewis and I are staying here together. Both of the Sister Companionships in our district are getting new missionaries. That means that every companionship in our district is training. I love having so many new awesome missionaries around. They bring lots of faith and fire into this work.

We found quite a few new people to teach this week and it is wonderful to finally be able to fill my days with people who want to learn! We were able to get in several doors and testify of Christ. It was amazing! This Saturday we got to go to the temple with a member who hasn't been there before. She brought the names of her dad and two of her brothers to be baptized. She asked Elder Lewis and I to do it. We were blessed to have been asked to help her in that work.

I attached a picture of our district that is no more and of us at the temple with that sister!

Love you all!!
Elder Stephen

Y'all,

Everyday here has gotten better! I really have enjoyed being here in Ramona! Elder Lewis and I have been finding new people to teach about this wonderful gospel and it has been a great experience. Outside of that, we finished moving a lady who really needed help moving all of her stuff. I think I mentioned her last week. She has so much stuff and we were able to help her get it down it 16 feet packed really tight on a a moving truck. It was good to help her. We also got special permission to go down to San Diego with the Sisters serving in our branch to have lunch with a less active member. She took us to an Asian buffet. There was a lot of weird looking food that I tried. I had beef tendon salad, baby octopus, duck, just raw salmon, and some super dank sushi. Overall, it was pretty great. We also left our mission in a car that the sisters were driving twice this week. We left with permission to give a blessing to the nonmember father of a great family in the branch. I personally relished the opportunity to give blessings to this man and his family. I always learn from serving, and this time was no exception. I learned more about the power that I hold as I watched it touch the lives of everyone we gave blessings to. It was a good reminder of the trust that God has in me at this point in my life. Transfers are a week from today, but I don't think Elder Lewis and I are going to change. I am glad about that. I like being with Elder Lewis. He's a great missionary and person!

Thanks for your love and prayers,

Elder Stephen

Hey Yall!

This week has been a ringer! We have been working hard and doing a LOT of service! We have been doing anything and everything from pulling weeds to moving to farm chores. I have loved the opportunity to help some of God's children out here in Ramona CA! I love the surroundings out here. The mountains and farms make me think of Italian landscapes. I have loved getting to know Ramona!

Of course a huge highlight of this week was hands down General Conference! There isn't many more exciting things that getting to hear from living prophets and apostles the words God would have me hear. I left those meetings feeling an unrivaled urgency to get back to work and be a part of the most important thing that men can do.

My companion is so happy and optimistic about this work and I am too! This is what God would have me do. One of my favorite concepts of this gospel is one that you are all familiar with. On an airplane, you are reminded that in the case of a loss of pressure in the cabin that life saving materials will drop down from the overhead. Then you are reminded to help yourself before you can help others. I love how this applies to the gospel of Jesus Christ. Knowing that the opportunity to share the good news of Christ is the most important thing to be done right now on the earth, you cannot share it if you do not know these things of your self! If you have questions, I invite you to seek diligently and find the answers. If you do not have questions, I invite you to find some! In missionary work we say that nothing happens until you find someone to teach and we are working on this right now. This life is the time to grow your knowledge and testimony so you can truly know your Father in heaven before you return to Him.

Thank you all for the prayers and love!

Love Yall!
